Off the beaten path, the Govan Brown courtyard is punctuated by a provocative applique on the face of an entrance vestibule, exploring the effect of surface design and patterns on perception. Through the use of Moire pattern, contrasting colour and geometric shapes, a large-scale, high-impact and immersive installation interrupts, misleads and disorients the audience into sensing optical illusions or movement in unexpected settings.
